The Southern GP Federation is committed to protecting your privacy and keeping your information safe. This statement applies to data collected by The Southern GP Federation and processed at our offices at Unit 1, Derryboy Road, Carnbane Business Park, Newry BT35 6QH and third parties appointed by us. Should we ask you for information from which you can be identified when using this website, you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement. By using our website, you consent to us using the personal information you provide in the manner described by this Privacy Policy. To fulfil our responsibilities there will be occasions when we need to process personal information. Personal information that we process about you is governed by the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The GP Federation collects personally identifiable information you provide, such as your name, email address, company name, job title, home or work address, telephone number. We may also collect non-identifiable information like your age, gender, preferences and favourites.
Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to host our website and collect your information. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.

Why do we need your personal data?
We need to store a certain amount of personal data about you in order to be able to process and allocate you to your Federation private pages, process job applications, registering for Federation events, we need to know who you are, your name, email address, company name, job title, home or work address, telephone number and fax number and how to contact you. Likewise, if you apply for a job we need to provide you with progress updates, we need to know your email address so that we can invite you to interviews, let you know of application outcomes etc.

How we use the information we collect
The Southern GP Federation collects and processes your information in order to carry out obligations arising from any contracts between us, operate our website and deliver the services you have requested. Based on the information we collect; this allows FSU to approve or decline your request to the private pages on the website and organise federation events.
In addition to the information our site directly collects from you, we may also use third-party services, such as Google Analytics, to help us to understand how visitors use our site. The information collected by these third-party services is typically focussed on which pages are most often visited, how long users stay on a page, where they have come to the site from. Generally this information has limited personally identifiable data, but some services may record your IP address which could be used as a personal identifier.
We may contact you to notify you regarding your account, to troubleshoot problems with your account, to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, to send updates about our company, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our User Agreement, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you. In line with legislation the Federation has a range of measures and strict standards to protect paper and electronically held information. We will not transfer your data to other countries outside the European Union (EU) unless you have consented to it and the information has been secured in a way that safeguards it during and after transfer to the country receiving it.

The GP Federation use cookies to allow you to browse our website and maintain information.
